Yerba Mate Jesper Despalada 500 g
A new product from the Jesper brand, added to our range in 2020. Inside the pack you will find fairly coarsely cut leaves and stems of Paraguayan holly, plus a small amount of dust.
As befits a Despalada, it consists mainly of leaves, which makes it remarkably easy to prepare while also giving a fuller flavour and a stronger energy boost. When you open the pack, the leaves smell strongly grainy and nutty, with woody accents and a scent reminiscent of a campfire.
At first the infusion is fairly light and mellow, strongly woody, grainy and nutty, with moderate bitterness and tartness. With subsequent refills, however, it gains intensity and becomes much more full-bodied. The leaves that dominate the blend produce plenty of bitterness and a slightly astringent aftertaste on the tongue, along with distinct grainy and nutty accents, some of which may remind you of bread crust or roasted sunflower seeds.
Jesper Despalada guarantees a solid energy boost over many hours of drinking, making it a very successful choice for all fans of traditional, strong Argentine yerba.
