A new addition to our range from Don Leandro, whose portfolio includes the aforementioned Don Leandro yerba mate and el Hachero. It is a traditional yerba from Argentina with a beautiful leaf cut. The pack catches the eye with a beautiful illustration of a Gaucho sipping Paraguayan holly from a gourd.
The manufacturer assures rigorous quality control during cultivation and production, as well as during the ageing process itself, when interesting flavour nuances emerge from the yerba.
The pack itself is well protected and sealed, so the contents keep their lovely aroma and the intensity of the infusion for longer. When you open the pack, you see fairly coarsely cut leaves with some medium stems and a moderate amount of dust. Yerba el Hachero is very easy to form into a mound - anyone can handle it, regardless of their yerba experience.
El Hachero Tradicional has an intense aroma that can be described as grassy, hay-like, cereal and nutty with a delicate smoky note. It undoubtedly tempts you to quickly fill your cup and start tasting. From the first sip, it must be said that the infusion is not overly heavy or intense. The bitterness and astringency are moderate, and the flavour bouquet is nicely complemented by cereal, nutty and slightly grassy notes, as well as a hint of roasted sunflower seeds. It is definitely a pleasant, everyday choice for lovers of Argentinian yerba, as it perfectly matches its characteristic features. After a while, a minimal sweetness is released and a puckering aftertaste appears on the tongue.
