Opis produktu
Uruguayan-style yerba mate - produced in Brazil
A classic that will especially appeal to those who have not yet had the chance to try Uruguayan-style mate. You may not know this, but Uruguay mostly has its mate produced in Brazil, where it is prepared for the Uruguayan market. The Tipo PU1 variety is a fairly demanding mate, but it rewards you with a relatively mild flavour, a delicate bitterness, a pleasant vegetal taste and a beautiful aroma.
An unusual combination of Argentinian and Brazilian mate characteristics
PU1 varieties, i.e. those produced in Brazil for the Uruguayan market, offer an interesting combination of flavours, featuring characteristics of both Argentinian and Brazilian mates. The result is an interesting mix of flavours that will appeal to anyone looking for a change from the mates from Argentina or Paraguay they have been drinking so far. For many, the flavour of this mate will first bring to mind Brazilian chimarrao.
Del Cebador Classic lasts a long time and consists mainly of finely and medium ground leaves, a good amount of dust and very few stems (about 1%). Because of this, it is a fairly demanding mate that needs a so-called mound. Otherwise, you may have trouble enjoying the flavour of this variety. Also worth mentioning is the very solid stimulating effect that comes straight from the infusion, despite its relatively mild flavour.
Because of how finely the leaves are ground and the amount of dust, we do not recommend this mate to those just taking their first steps in the rich world of yerba mate. We recommend it rather to more experienced drinkers and to those looking for new taste experiences.
