Yerba mate CBSe Cocido Mix Favorito 25 x 3 g
A quick option from the CBSe brand from Argentina, available as small tea bags for fast preparation. The pack contains 25 tea bags for instant brewing in a mug or cup rather than in a matero (mate gourd).
Here we have a mix of three different versions: 15 tea bags of the Hierbas Serranas (herbal) version, 5 tea bags of the Naranja (orange) version and 5 tea bags of the Frutos del Bosque (forest fruits) version, making a total of 25 bags of 2.5 g each. In terms of intensity and effect it is milder than traditionally prepared yerba, but it is intended for other occasions rather than for daily drinking. The infusion is relatively light, but it gives you a taste of traditionally prepared yerba.
The herbal version is strongly minty and refreshing, while the orange and forest fruit versions have a distinctive fruity taste true to their names.
Preparation is extremely simple: put one or two tea bags in a cup, pour over water at about 70-80 degrees and leave to brew for up to 10 minutes. Then remove the tea bag from the cup. After the first cup you can try one more refill, but the flavour will be very mild ;)
Mate Cocido CBSe Mix Favorito is a nice option to serve guests who have never tried Paraguayan holly, or for travelling when you don't have your gourd and bombilla with you.
