Opis produktu
Yerba Mate Canarias Te Rojo y Centella 500 g
A new arrival on the Polish yerba mate market: the iconic Uruguayan mate with added herbs. It is produced in Brazil, but made mainly for the Uruguayan market. This herbal variety contains the best finely ground leaves, very few stems (approx. 1%), a good amount of dust, plus red tea and gotu kola herb.
Because the leaves are finely ground, this type of mate needs to be prepared with a so-called mound. Otherwise, drinking Canarias will be very difficult and fine particles may clog the bombilla.
The flavour of Canarias Te Rojo y Centella combines the best features of Brazilian and Argentinian mates with a noticeable herbal aroma and taste. The flavour itself can be described as milder than the classic version (Elaborada). Creaminess, sweetness and a vegetal taste take centre stage, with noticeable bitterness and moderate acidity. On top of that comes a delicate background from the red tea and gotu kola (Asiatic pennywort).
An interesting change from classic Uruguayan Tipo PU-1 mates. Recommended rather for more experienced drinkers because of how finely the leaves are ground and the amount of dust. Still, it is worth trying at any stage of your yerba mate journey, as long as you use the right way of drinking it (the so-called mound).
