Yerba mate Baldo Cocido Tostado Laranja 10 x 2.5 g
Quick-to-prepare yerba in tea bags from the Brazilian brand Baldo, with no need for a matero (mate gourd) or bombilla. Each tea bag is individually sealed, which ensures its quality, a lovely aroma and an intense flavour. In addition, the pack has a zip closure, so you can safely store the remaining tea bags after opening.
Here we have a blend based on Tostado, i.e. roasted yerba mate with a characteristic nougat-nutty taste and deep brown leaves, which clearly sets it apart from other varieties, whose leaves are greener or green-grey. It all comes from the roasting process the leaves undergo, which affects not only their colour but above all the flavour of the resulting infusion.
The blend also contains sweet orange fruit and peel, and flavouring. As a result, it smells like juice freshly squeezed from a ripe orange - an irresistible scent.
The producer rates its intensity at 4 on a scale of 5.
Preparation:
- Pour 200 ml of hot water over the tea bag and leave to brew for at least 5 minutes.
It can also be prepared cold: following the original recipe, pour a little hot water over one or 2-3 tea bags, then add a few ice cubes, wait up to 7-10 minutes and enjoy a refreshing infusion based on roasted yerba mate.
