Yerba mate Baldo Cocido Tostado Figo 10 x 2.5 g
Quick-to-prepare yerba in sachets from the Brazilian brand Baldo - no matero (mate gourd) or bombilla needed. Each sachet is tightly sealed, which guarantees proper quality, a lovely aroma and an intense flavour. The pack also has a zip closure, so you can safely store the remaining sachets once it has been opened.
This blend is based on Tostado, i.e. roasted yerba mate with a distinctive nougat-and-nut aftertaste and deep brown leaves, which clearly sets it apart from other varieties whose leaves are greener or green-grey. It all comes down to the roasting process the leaves undergo, which affects not only their colour but above all the taste of the infusion.
The blend also contains apple and flavouring, so it smells like a ripe fig fresh from the market - say, straight from Croatian Dalmatia.
The producer rates its intensity at 3 on a 5-point scale.
Preparation:
- Pour 200 ml of hot water over a sachet and leave it to brew for at least 5 minutes.
It can also be prepared cold: following the original recipe, pour a small amount of hot water over one sachet or 2-3 sachets, then add a few ice cubes, wait 7-10 minutes and enjoy a refreshing infusion based on roasted yerba mate.
