Opis produktu

Yerba Mate Arai Segunda Molienda 500 g

A new release from the well-regarded brand Arai in an interesting edition: the leaves and stems in the pack come from the second grinding, hence the name "segunda molienda", which means second grinding. In addition, the amount of dust has been reduced.

It owes its character to natural aging lasting as long as 30 months, during which it picks up interesting flavours and background nuances. When you open the pack, you see a nicely cut leaf. Inside you will find mainly medium-sized leaves with a small admixture of stems and a small amount of dust. The aroma of the dry leaf is strongly woody and grainy-nutty, reminiscent of a burning campfire.

After the first pour the infusion is relatively light and mild, earthy and woody. Only after a while do the bitterness and astringency increase and become more distinct. The intensity of the infusion and of the accents you can taste also increases. There is a slightly smoky flavour and notes of black tea, wood and earth, which make the infusion well-rounded and complex, leaving a pleasant aftertaste and practically begging for more refills.

It is undoubtedly one of the yerbas that stand up very well to repeated refills and keeps a high level of intensity for a long time.

Arai Segunda Molienda is a distinct mate with a solid stimulating effect and a high yield. A good choice for lovers of exceptional Argentinian mates from niche plantations.
