Among the many different options, Palo Santo is sure to satisfy even the most demanding customers. So what is the secret of its success? The scent! Made from Palo Santo wood, these gourds have a distinctive, extremely pleasant citrus scent that fills the whole vessel, i.e. the matero (mate gourd). All this thanks to the aromatic resin that the wood releases with each refill, passing into the infusion and enriching its flavour.
The gourd available here can be considered unique thanks to its exceptional engraving. Its middle part features hand-made decoration with a motif resembling a wellspring, surrounded by ornaments - a beautiful piece. The gourd is relatively small (approx. 140-160 ml capacity), which is an advantage: it is small and handy, does not take up much space and lets you make full, efficient use of the leaf.

Its maintenance and preparation are extremely important to keep it in good condition, i.e. to avoid possible cracks. Mate. It is also worth considering gourds with a metal rim - they are the most functional, durable and resistant. Compared to matero without a rim, they last longer and are more resistant to damage.
As for using the gourd, a good habit is to empty out the leftover mate on the same day you use it. After emptying it, simply rinse the inside gently, wipe it thoroughly with a paper towel and leave it to dry upright in a well-ventilated place for at least 3-4 hours or until the next use the following day.
The rim may have slight dents and scratches. Cracks that appear during use are not covered by a complaint.
