Opis produktu
Matero Palo Santo Pampeano with metal rim 100-120 ml
Made of Palo Santo wood, they have a specific, very pleasant citrus scent that fills the whole vessel, i.e. the matero (mate gourd). All thanks to the aromatic resin released from the wood with successive pours, which passes into the infusion and enriches its flavour.
The vessel is small (approx. 100-120 ml capacity), which is an advantage, as it is compact and handy, does not take up much space and allows full and efficient use of the yerba. The metal rim guarantees a longer life and better resistance to potential cracking.
Matero Pampeano is also unusual because of the way it is used, which differs from a typical Palo Santo gourd. It has five carved channels through which you pour each refill. This way the water slowly runs down the walls and floods the yerba from below, gradually washing out its flavour. With the Pampeano you do not pour water directly into the main opening, otherwise the contents will spill out ;)
When buying a wooden vessel, remember to prepare and maintain it properly. You can read more about the proper preparation (curado) of a vessel made of Palo Santo HERE.
Its maintenance and preparation are extremely important for keeping it in good condition, i.e. avoiding possible cracks. Mate. It is also worth considering vessels with a metal rim - they are the most functional, durable and resilient. Compared with a matero without a rim, they last longer and are more resistant to damage.
As for using the vessel, a good practice is to empty the mate leftovers on the same day you use it. After emptying, simply rinse the inside gently, wipe it thoroughly with a paper towel and leave it to dry upright in a well-ventilated place for at least 3-4 hours or until the next use the following day.
The rim may have slight dents and scratches. Cracks that appear during use are not covered by complaints.
