Matero Palo Santo goblet with metal rim and "el Loro" engraving 140-160 ml
Made of palo santo wood, these gourds have a distinctive, remarkably pleasant citrusy scent that fills the whole matero (mate gourd). This is all thanks to the aromatic resin that the wood releases with successive pours, passing into the infusion and enriching its flavour.
The gourd offered here can be considered unique thanks to its unconventional engraving. In the middle it has hand-made decoration with a beautifully executed parrot motif ("el loro" in Spanish) surrounded by ornaments - it is breathtaking. The gourd has a medium capacity (approx. 140-160 ml), is handy and holds just the right amount of yerba for several hours of drinking.

Its care and preparation are extremely important to keep it in good condition, i.e. to avoid possible cracks. Mate. It is also worth considering gourds with a metal rim - they are the most functional, durable and robust. Compared to a matero without a metal rim, they last longer and are more resistant to damage.
As for everyday use, it is a good idea to empty the gourd of mate leftovers on the same day you use it. After emptying, simply rinse the inside gently, wipe it thoroughly with a paper towel and leave it to dry upright in a well-ventilated place for at least 3-4 hours or until the next use the following day.
The metal rim may have slight dents and scratches. Cracks that appear during use are not covered by complaints.
