Opis produktu
Matero Palo Santo Goblet with "el Buho" engraving 140-160 ml
Among the many different options, Palo Santo is sure to satisfy even the most demanding customers. So what is the secret of its appeal? The scent! Vessels made of Palo Santo wood have a distinctive, extremely pleasant citrus scent that fills the whole vessel, the matero (mate gourd). All this is thanks to the aromatic resin released from the wood during successive infusions, which passes into the brew and enriches its flavour.
The vessel available here stands out thanks to its unusual engraving. In its middle part it has hand-made decoration with an owl motif - in Spanish "el buho". The vessel is relatively small (approx. 140-160 ml capacity), which is an advantage: it is small and handy, does not take up much space and allows you to make full, efficient use of the leaves you put in.
When buying a wooden vessel, remember to prepare and care for it properly. We write more about properly preparing a vessel (curado) made of Palo Santo in our article on preparing a matero.
Its care and preparation are extremely important to keep it in good condition, i.e. to avoid possible cracks. It is also worth considering vessels with a metal rim - they are the most functional, durable and robust. Compared to matero without a rim, they last longer and are more resistant to damage.
As for using the vessel, it is a good idea to empty it of leftover mate on the same day you use it. After emptying, simply rinse the inside gently, wipe it thoroughly with a paper towel and leave it to dry upright in a well-ventilated place for at least 3-4 hours or until the next use the following day.
The rim may have slight dents and scratches. Cracks that appear during use are not covered by a complaint.
