A delicacy Argentinians are practically crazy about! Made by the renowned company Havanna, which has been on the market since 1948, when it was founded in Buenos Aires, the capital of Argentina. One of the brand's factories is located in Europe, in Spain to be exact.
Dulce de leche is an extremely intense treat, similar to what Poles know as kajmak (caramelised condensed milk). It is made from milk and sugar and contains no artificial colourings or preservatives. Its texture is smooth, slightly stretchy and thick, so the spread goes easily on bread, crackers, cakes or anything else that comes to mind. How does it taste?
The taste is very close to kajmak, creamier and more vanilla-like thanks to the added flavouring. It also goes perfectly with yerba mate as a sweet accompaniment - though not necessarily added straight into the cup :)
You can spread it on crackers, salted sticks, any kind of bread or another salty snack. Believe us, this combination is incredibly tasty! Try it yourself :)
This version has a higher cocoa content, a minimum of 70%, which makes this dulce de leche better in quality than other versions.
