Barao Cha Mate Tostado com Menta Cocido (25 tea bags) 40 g
An unusual product in tea bags from the Barao brand, straight from Brazil. Why unusual? Above all, yerba mate in tea bags is in most cases the traditional or flavoured kind, whereas this one is roasted. As a result, the infusion tastes completely different.
This particular version comes with 25 tea bags of 1.6 g each in the pack. Of course, given the size of the bag and the amount of leaves, this form will be much milder than traditional preparation. Still, considering the amount of leaves, the infusion is rich and you can taste the interesting notes typical of tostado: nuts, nougat and dark chocolate. Mint also has a lot to say in the infusion, adding refreshment.
Preparation is very simple: put one or two tea bags into a cup, pour over water at about 90-100 degrees and leave to brew for up to 10 minutes. Then remove the bag from the cup. After the first cup you can try one more refill, but the taste will be very mild ;)
You can also experiment and pour milk or a plant-based drink over it instead of hot water.
Barao Cha Mate Tostado com Menta is a nice option to serve guests who have not had the chance to try yerba mate yet, or when travelling without a gourd and a bombilla.
