Opis produktu
Yerba Mate Sol y Lluvia Barbacua 500 g in a jute bag
A real rarity on the Polish market: yerba mate from the province of Misiones. Sol y Lluvia is a classic variety dried using the traditional Barbacua method and produced on a small scale - you could call it an artisan product. The Barbacua drying method brings smoky accents, but they do not dominate; instead they beautifully complement the other flavour sensations. This Argentine classic is not just smoke, but also a fresh infusion with noticeable grassy and woody notes. What else? You can taste a delicate sweetness; the bitterness is very moderate, almost imperceptible. There is also a pleasant tartness and low acidity.
In this version it is packed in a jute bag. Sol y Lluvia Barbacua contains only leaves and stems of Paraguayan holly, plus a moderate amount of dust. It is one of those mates that do not like being hit with high temperatures straight away. That is why we recommend making the first pour with cooler water, around 40-50 degrees Celsius. Otherwise you may not be able to bring out the best in it.
The flavour of this mate can be described as deep and intense, yet not heavy or overly bold, so it can be enjoyed not only by lovers of yerba novelties and rarities, but also by those just taking their first steps into the world of Paraguayan holly. The flavour should not discourage anyone from drinking more, even if it were their very first mate. The richness and complexity of its flavour can only encourage further exploration of the remarkably diverse world of yerba mate. Its stimulating effect can be described as moderate.
Sol y Lluvia simply means sun and rain, which is reflected not only on the brand's packaging but also in its character. It combines many intertwining traits that fit together perfectly. None of them is overpowering or disturbs the harmony of the flavour. A high-quality product, well worth its price.
