New from Paraguay, to give you energy
A newcomer to the Polish yerba mate market, available since July 2019. It is produced by the Paraguayan company Unimate. This classic, aged variety is grown in the Atlantic forests of the Alto Paraná department (Upper Paraná). Unlike the Nativa version (green package), it is grown according to ecological principles, although this is not backed by any certificate, at least for now. The blend contains only leaves and stems of the yerba mate plant, with a balanced taste and pronounced bitterness with noticeable notes of wood and smoke.
A classic yerba mate in the spirit of ecology
An infusion made from a standard portion of dried leaves (50 g) with 500 ml of water at 70 degrees Celsius is not just a solid dose of stimulation. Like the Nativa version, it provides a good dose of iron, magnesium and vitamin B6. Ruvicha Silvestre offers a rich taste and aroma, an ideal choice for lovers of classic yerba mate with a solid dose of stimulation. The leaves and stems have a pleasant aroma with a smoky note, typical of Paraguayan varieties. The bitterness is pronounced, but not too intrusive or strong. To sum up, the taste of this mate is balanced and will appeal to many people who have already had some experience with yerba mate. It is not really recommended for beginners, unless they are people who are not put off by pronounced bitterness.
The cardboard package has an interesting, modern design featuring an indigenous man, probably from the Guarani people. The dried leaves themselves are in a foil bag, so they keep their valuable taste and aroma for longer. Ruvicha mate is a new product that should be on the radar of every yerba mate lover.
