Yerba mate Hierbas del Oasis Compuesta con hierbas 500 g
A new brand in our range with a distinctive oasis in its logo. Besides fairly coarsely cut leaves with an admixture of stems, it contains natural additions: incayuyo, green tea, lemon balm and sarsaparilla. The blend contains no artificial additives or flavourings.
Hierbas del Oasis makes sure that all the ingredients of its blends come from natural crops grown without artificial pesticides, using only natural fertilisers. The base, Paraguayan holly, is naturally aged for 12 months.
The aroma is relatively mild and dominated by notes typical of yerba - grainy-nutty and woody - along with a subtle tea-herbal-citrus accent from the additions.
The infusion is interesting and distinct, with the yerba playing first fiddle. The herbal additions are merely a background to the base flavours. There is a surprising amount of bitterness and astringency, with grainy, nutty and woody notes as well as citrus, tea-like and herbal ones.
This herbal version of Hierbas del Oasis delivers a solid energy boost, and the leaves offer a high yield for many hours. It will please fans of blends in which herbs are just an interesting addition and the yerba takes centre stage.
