Yerba mate Herencia Tradicional 500 g
A new yerba in our range with an exceptionally distinct flavour and a solid effect, from a niche plantation in San Pedro in the province of Misiones, Argentina.
A traditional version without additions, naturally aged for 12 months; the cultivation follows traditional methods so that the final product is of the highest possible quality and full of flavour. It has to be said that these goals are reflected in reality, as Herencia Tradicional is an exceptionally bold and tasty yerba from Argentina.
In the pack you will find relatively coarsely ground leaves with an admixture of stems and a rather moderate amount of dust. The cut suggests we are dealing with a fairly mild yerba, but nothing could be further from the truth! The aroma of the leaves says a lot here: it is intense, strongly woody and grainy, with a hint of smoked plum, hay (dry hay) notes and smoke. The aroma is quite heavy, which heralds an above-average flavour and strength of the infusion.
From the first sip Herencia delivers strong flavour sensations: the infusion is astringent and bitter, with a pronounced woody flavour, notes of black tea and smoked plum, and a light sweetness. It can undoubtedly be described as full and intense; it spreads across the palate, leaving a long bitter aftertaste. In the background you will also find hay and grainy-nutty notes and a minimal smokiness.
In terms of energy, this is a very strongly stimulating yerba that also offers a very high yield, resulting in an essential, strong Argentine yerba that will give you energy for many hours. Be sure to try it!
