Most yerba mate drinkers know Cruz de Malta yerba mate from the Molinos brand. It is now available in a new version that differs from the previous one not only in its new package design, but also in its contents. Two key words are visible on the front of the package: "Suave" and "Duradera". They mean that the new blend is milder and longer-lasting (better yield) than the mate produced before.
Choose experience and quality
The Cruz de Malta brand means years of experience of a producer that has been on the market since 1874. It is safe to say that Molinos knows a lot about yerba mate and is worth trusting. What can be said about Cruz de Malta in its new edition? Like its predecessor, the infusion has a deep aroma, but a slightly milder taste. It will please fans of classic varieties who value quality and a pleasant but not overly intense bitterness. It contains fairly finely cut leaves and stems of the yerba mate plant and a medium amount of dust. According to the producer, the leaves should wash out more slowly and last for more refills than the previous version. We can definitely recommend it, especially to those who appreciate the rich flavour profile of the infusion of this divine herb. Is it better or worse than the previous blend? We will not know until we try it.
