Yerba Mate Chamigo Poleo 500 g
A newcomer to the Polish yerba mate market, available in very limited quantities. The brand name itself (Chamigo) means „my friend” in Guarani. The blend contains added poleo, which tastes similar to mint or peppermint.
It should be noted right away that despite the word "suave" on the pack, it is quite intense for an Argentinian mate. Apart from the poleo, inside the pack you will find medium-sized leaves mixed with more finely cut ones and stems. There is also a moderate amount of dust, which doesn't get in the way of enjoying this mate at all
Besides the leaves themselves, what catches the eye at first glance is the interesting brand logo - hands holding a matero with a bombilla placed inside, a very nice concept. It has long been known that mate brings people together.
The taste of Chamigo can be described as slightly earthy, with noticeable bitterness and moderate astringency. It is all complemented by a hint of bread crust and a light minty note from the poleo.
Yerba Mate Chamigo Poleo - a good choice, but rather for those looking for new flavours than for those just starting out, as the intensity of this mate may not necessarily suit them.
