What does the contents of the pack look like?
Cabral Mate Dulce is quite finely ground, with a minimal amount of stems and a moderate amount of dust. With proper preparation (a slope) it causes no major problems and lets you sip the fairly sweet infusion without any trouble.
Remember to fill the matero (mate gourd) a little less than the standard 3/4, as the leaves swell quite a lot and increase in volume. With large servings, the leaves look as if they want to escape from the gourd.
How can the flavour of the infusion be described?
At first, a plant-like sweetness dominates, which fades a little after several infusions. Over time you will notice grassy notes, moderate bitterness, tartness and astringency on the tongue. It is certainly not for every yerba mate fan - it is rather recommended for those who don't mind sweetness, or even welcome it to neutralise the tartness and bitterness.
In terms of stimulation it is quite solid and will give you energy for a long time, and thanks to how finely it is ground, it is very economical. If you want to try Mate Dulce, this is definitely worth a try.
