Yerba mate Arapegua Canchada Organica 500 g
The second Arapegua offering in our range, this time in an even more coarsely cut version. It is a rather unusual variety: the pack contains very coarsely cut leaves and stems with almost no dust. It comes in a cardboard box with a bag inside that preserves the intensity of its flavour and aroma.
Arapegua Canchada Organica is a top-shelf product whose quality is confirmed by the relevant certificates. It is grown by three farms: El Lapacho, Caá Porá, Don Bruno José and Los Cedritos. All under the close supervision of certification bodies.
During its 2-year ageing period it develops interesting notes and aromas. Arapegua is one of the very coarsely cut varieties, similar in this respect to Fede Rico Aviva, Arai Primera Molienda or Kalena Despalada. Because of its coarse cut, it is one of those yerbas that require more patience from the drinker to bring out its full flavour - and it is definitely worth it!
The infusion offers light astringency, a subtle bitterness and tea-like, grainy, nutty and woody notes, creating an interesting composition that blossoms with each subsequent pour. Remember, however, to allow a little more time between refills. It charms with its mildness.
In terms of energy, Arapegua Organica is rather moderately stimulating, while in terms of yield it provides long hours of mate drinking. If you appreciate organic products and like light, mild varieties, this is definitely one for you.
