Swedish bitters herbs for tincture 100 g Intenson
This is a classic blend of herbs prepared according to Maria Treben's recipe. Swedish bitters have been valued for years for their unique composition, which supports your daily routine and helps you look after your body's balance in a natural way. Ideal for making a tincture or an infusion, they become part of the daily ritual of people who appreciate traditional recipes and natural solutions.
The blend of the herbs listed above is used to prepare a medicinal tincture for external and internal use.
Swedish bitters - tincture recipe:
- Pour 1.5 l of 40% alcohol over the herb blend.
- Leave for 14 days in a warm place (approx. 25°C).
- Shake the mixture every day.
- After 14 days, strain and pour into dark bottles, seal and store in a cool place.
- The tincture is ready. It can keep for several years.
Contraindications:
- liver cirrhosis,
- pregnancy and breastfeeding,
- intestinal failure or obstruction.
Uses of Swedish bitters:
- Fever, chills - take 1 tablespoon of the tincture.
- Headaches, dizziness, fainting - smell or inhale Swedish bitters, moisten the top of the head with the tincture or apply a cloth soaked in the tincture to the head.
- Rheumatic pain - apply a cloth moistened with the tincture to the painful areas.
- Insomnia - take 1 tablespoon of the tincture before bed.
- Pimples, rashes, scabs - wipe the area several times a day with a cotton pad moistened with the tincture.
- Cloudiness, redness, eye inflammation, weakened eyesight - gently moisten the corners of the eyes with the tincture or place a linen cloth moistened with the tincture on the closed eyelids. Grease the skin beforehand.
- Sore throat - dilute a tablespoon of the tincture in a little water and gargle 3 times a day.
- Toothache - dilute a tablespoon of the tincture in a little water and rinse your mouth, holding the liquid in for a while. You can also moisten the aching tooth with a cloth soaked in the tincture.
- Stomach and intestinal complaints, bloating - take 1-3 tablespoons of the tincture.
- Menstrual disorders, absent periods, excessive bleeding - take the tincture for 3 days, then repeat for the next 20 days until the cycle returns to normal.
- Menstrual pain - 1 tablespoon of the tincture in the morning for 3 days, diluted with red wine.
- Corns, lumps, spots - apply cotton pads soaked in the tincture. After 3 days the corn will soften or come off, and lumps and spots will disappear.
- Chickenpox and rubella marks, scars, cuts, puncture wounds, bites and stings - frequently apply a cloth soaked in the herbal tincture.
- Hangover - take 2 tablespoons of the tincture and you will quickly get rid of your hangover.
- Burns, frostbite - regularly moisten the wound with cotton pads soaked in the tincture.
- Swedish bitters also help with melancholy, haemorrhoids, kidney pain and depression, stimulate the appetite and improve digestion.
Ingredients: angelica root, zedoary (white turmeric) root, wormwood herb, manna, senna leaves, carline thistle root, myrrh, rhubarb root, camphor, valerian, cinnamon, cardamom, saffron.
Preparation (tincture): use as an ingredient for making a tincture. Take 1 teaspoon of the tincture per cup of herbal tea or water. Do not mix with milk. Tincture recipe: pour 2 litres of 38-40% alcohol over the contents of the pack (100 g); shake the mixture every day; after 14 days strain, pour into bottles and cork; a tincture prepared this way can keep for several years.
Directions (infusion): pour 200 ml of hot (not boiling) water over a tablespoon of the blend. Cover and leave to brew for 30 minutes. Strain. Can be drunk with honey. Do not serve with milk.
