Mint (Latin: Mentha L.) has been used for centuries both in everyday cooking and in natural folk medicine. The herb contains, among others, essential oils, flavonoids, tannins, organic acids, mineral salts and vitamin C.
Its taste and aroma appeal to people who enjoy refreshing drinks and the scent of mint. It is great for all kinds of drinks, served hot, or cold in summer. Peppermint is also the source of an oil that is extremely popular in cosmetics and medicine. Peppermint oil helps with coughs and relieves the symptoms of sinus pain, flu and colds.
