Glass gourd Chalice "Meta Mate" 170 ml
A very versatile gourd for drinking yerba mate. You can prepare any favourite variety in it without having to take special care of the gourd (even Brazilian chimarrao). Because it is made of glass, it is completely neutral to the taste of the infusion. It can be easily cleaned under running water with some detergent.
The Chalice glass gourd is made by a Polish glassworks in Krosno, so by buying this product you support the local economy. The gourd is made using a special glass-blowing method with a so-called blowpipe, which gives the glass a very high gloss and makes it much better in quality than machine-made products.
The glass matero has a solid, thick base that keeps it stable. The walls are fairly thick, so the gourd doesn't burn your hands when prepared the classic way (hot). Its shape is modelled on the classic chalice-shaped palo santo gourd. In the centre it bears the "Meta Mate" logo.
If you value simplicity and ease of use, this gourd is definitely for you.
Remember not to pour boiling water into the gourd. It is guaranteed to withstand temperatures of up to 90 degrees Celsius. Not dishwasher safe.
For the Chalice glass matero we recommend a bombilla 15-19 cm long.
