A new product from a new brand in our range, Vier, which belongs to the Rei Verde company (brand), well known to many, from the Rio Grande do Sul province. Inside the pack you'll find yerba mate (erva mate) with added orange peel, mint, chamomile and lemongrass. Something for fans of non-classic chimarrao, with no artificial additives or flavourings.
Erva mate Vier Chimarrão Composto Citrico is a Brazilian blend consisting mainly of finely ground leaves, some medium-sized stems and the herbal and fruit additions mentioned above. It is not smoked or aged, which gives it its fresh, grassy flavour. Once opened, we recommend storing it in an airtight container to preserve its unique aroma and flavour. Please note that this version is not vacuum-packed (no vacuum), so we encourage you to buy it while it is at its freshest. Over time its flavour will change and mature, moving more towards Uruguayan-style yerba.
Vier Chimarrão Citrico is a yerba mate that can be prepared in several ways; one of the classic methods is as follows: pour the yerba into a large vessel on one side, then fill the empty space on the other side of the vessel with previously cooled water. Wait until the mate soaks up the water, then place a bombilla with a large, round, flat filter (bomba) in the vessel, pushing the mate to one side so that the filter rests against the yerba, forming the so-called mound. Top up with water. It can be refilled many times, until the flavour is completely washed out and the aroma is gone.
