A beautiful and stylish stainless steel bombilla from Brazil by Bortonaggio that handles every type of yerba mate, including the most finely ground Paraguayan varieties and Brazilian chimarrao.
What sets it apart from other bombillas - or rather chimarrao bombas - on the market? Above all, the filter itself, which consists of a thousand tiny holes that guarantee unmatched filtering of the infusion. The filter is threaded, so it unscrews easily, which makes everyday use and regular cleaning of the bombilla much easier.
Apart from the number of holes, Bombilla Oro "Piedra" stands out above all for its gold-plated double decorative ring with a small stone in several colour versions, as well as its slight profiling and gold-plated thickened mouthpiece with three notches. Because of the ring it is fairly heavy and solid, so we recommend it for cuias in general or taller gourds, to keep the right proportions and the straw stable. The stone undoubtedly adds charm to the gourd and will catch the eye of many a mate lover.
We used the 1000 Furos filter many times before adding it to our range, so we can recommend it with full confidence. Bortonaggio knows what it is doing and has without doubt produced an exceptionally successful product.
Given its length, we recommend it for gourds with a capacity of 200 ml or more and/or a height of at least 12 cm.
Before first use, we recommend cleaning it well under running water with a little detergent, both outside and inside the bombilla. The bamboo gourd shown in the photo is not included; it only serves as a stand for the bombilla :)
