Barao Cha Misto Citrus 13 g (tea bags)
A new series in our range from the Barao brand, this time a strongly fruity blend in easy-to-prepare tea bags. It contains orange peel and fruit, as well as lemon, pineapple and apple. The blend also includes hibiscus flower and yerba mate (Ilex paraguariensis). Given the size of the bags, about 1.3 g each, its energising effect will not be large, in fact minimal, as it contains other ingredients besides yerba.
The infusion smells lovely, is pleasantly fruity (citrusy) and refreshing, and the additions are clearly noticeable. There is no artificial or chemical aftertaste. You can also add the contents, for example, to a previously prepared chimarrao, sprinkled on top of the mound or straight onto the bottom of the gourd. This way you can add visual and flavour variety to your chimarrao or any yerba you prepare.
The preparation suggested by the manufacturer is very simple: put one or two tea bags into a cup, pour over water at about 90-100 degrees and leave to brew for up to 10 minutes. Then remove the bag from the cup. You can sweeten it if you like, but in our opinion there is no need.
Barao Cha Misto Citrus is a good choice for chilly autumn and winter evenings, perfect with a blanket and a good book.
