Opis produktu
Barao Cha de Hibisco 13 g (tea bags)
A new series in our range from the Brazilian brand Barao - this time it is hibiscus flowers in easy-to-prepare tea bags.
Hibiscus, also known as rose mallow, sorrel, Florida cranberry or roselle, is a plant with invaluable properties that was known already in antiquity, when the Egyptian pharaohs drank a hibiscus beverage called karkade.
The hibiscus flower is a beautiful red or purple flower used not only in the kitchen, but also in medicine and cosmetics.
Karkade is simply an infusion made from hibiscus flowers, which are covered with boiling water and left to steep for a few minutes. It can be drunk both hot and cold. Hibiscus tea does not taste like other teas - its flavour is distinctive and slightly tart.
The infusion smells lovely and is pleasantly fruity and refreshing. The contents can also be added, for example, to a previously prepared chimarrao, sprinkled on top of the mound or placed directly at the bottom of the gourd. This way we add visual appeal and flavour to our chimarrao or to any yerba prepared the way we like.
The preparation suggested by the manufacturer is extremely simple: put one or two tea bags into a cup, pour water at about 90-100°C over them and leave to steep for up to 10 minutes. Then remove the bag from the cup. You can sweeten it if you like, but in our opinion there is no need.
Barao Cha de Hibisco is a good choice for cool autumn and winter evenings, perfect with a cosy blanket and a good book.
