Alfajores Havanna Mar del Plata box of 4 pieces - 360 g
A special edition of the popular Argentinian dulce de leche cookies. This version was created to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the city of Mar del Plata. The alfajores are coated in chocolate with 70% cocoa content. Inside there is dulce de leche cream with sea salt, creating an interesting combination of sweet and salty flavours with a smooth texture.
The Havanna brand, based in Mar del Plata (Buenos Aires) in Argentina, has been successfully operating since 1948 and to this day is one of the leading producers of alfajores and dulce de leche. It started out quite modestly and now has more than 50 branches in Argentina and Europe (in Spain).
An extremely popular South American snack made by what is probably the most popular brand, Havanna, which you may know from the dulce de leche that has been available in our shop for a long time. Alfajores are hugely appreciated by Argentinians and go perfectly with yerba mate, balancing its flavours. The combination of the tart, bitter infusion with the sweetness of an alfajor is an intriguing pairing that is definitely worth trying at least once.
In this special edition we have intensely chocolatey alfajores with salt crystals; the box contains 4 delicious Alfajores from Havanna. One piece weighs about 90 g, just right for a serving of yerba every now and then :)
The alfajores come in a cardboard box wrapped in foil, and the cookies themselves are wrapped in paper with the Havanna logo.
